New Windows 10 Preview has been released by Microsoft recently with your phone upgrades. This update has actually bumped Windows to 189078 build from 18898 build (that was being available to the testers on May 15).

Contact images – For all your contacts that are having a profile image, Your Phone app will sync contact thumbnails, so that you can easily identify the contact while sending messages to them.
In-line reply – With the help of toast notifications, you can quickly respond to any text messages without actually opening the Your Phone app.
Emoji-Picker – Within the app, you can easily add any emojis to your text messages.
You can sync your phone over mobile data now. All your photos, messages and other notifications can be easily synced over mobile data even when your phone is not connected to a Wi-Fi network.
You just need to go to Your Phone Companion app settings and turn on the “sync over mobile data” on your phone.
How to fix bugs and known issues
This 20H1 build constitutes the below bug fixes and upgrades:
- It fixed an issue when a night light enabled on a certain device couldn’t be turned on unless it was restarted.
- It fixed an issue when a colour profile/gamma fast startup on a specific device couldn’t turn on unless it was restarted.
- WMA lossless decoder, when kept in the 24-bit mode was outputting junk. Ultimately affecting some music players. This issue was successfully fixed.
- Under the Video Playback Settings, battery drop down option was left blank unexpectedly, and it was fixed successfully.
- Despite “update and restart” option in the power button menu, sometimes a dot was not being indicated to show that an update is available. It was fixed.
- While using the arrow keys, MS paint selection was being moved in larger steps unexpectedly after every keypress
- The context menu for Japanese IME was updated that actually helped to replace the “User Dictionary” with “Add word”, ultimately enabling the users to add a lot more words to your user dictionary in just a few clicks.
- There was an issue that was resulting in the stuttering of the Narrator while reading the progress bars, and it was successfully fixed
- During the progress bar reader, there was a specific issues that was causing the Narrator to stutter and that was fixed.

Issues

You can change the width character from full to half with Bopomofo IME help.
While installing builds from the Fast ring and switching to either Slow ring or the Release preview ring, enabling developer mode will be failed.
You need to be in the Fast ring to enable/install/add optional content. Optional content will only be installed on the builds that are approved for specific rings.
